UI/UX Redesign Study Project

This project involved a comprehensive user experience (UX) analysis and redesign of the myHumber page, a key online portal for Humber College students. The goal was to enhance the website’s usability, particularly for new and international students, by addressing identified pain points and improving navigation and accessibility.

How I Created This Project

User Persona Development: Developed detailed user personas, to represent the diverse student body and to understand their specific needs and challenges.

Empathy Mapping: Conducted empathy mapping to delve deeper into the users’ experiences, understanding their thoughts, feelings, and motivations.

Pain Point Identification: Identified key pain points for users, such as navigation difficulties, overwhelming information presentation, and lack of targeted information for international students.

UX Report Creation: Compiled a comprehensive UX report detailing the current state of the myHumber page, including analysis of brand identity, user personas, user flow, and empathy maps.

Prototyping and Redesign: Used Adobe XD to create a prototype that addressed the identified issues. The redesign focused on improving navigation and providing quick access to essential information.

Testing and Feedback: Iterated the design based on user testing and feedback to ensure the redesigned interface met the needs of the end users effectively.

Final Presentation: Presented the final UX report and Adobe XD prototype, showcasing the redesigned myHumber page that catered to the diverse needs of Humber College’s student body.
